
The Bethel Seventh-day Adventist Church is a member congregation of the worldwide faith community of Christians known as Seventh-day Adventists. Bethel began in 1904 with a small company of believers. The group was then known as Second Brooklyn SDA Church. It became an organized church in 1936. Bethel is the oldest Seventh-day Adventist Church in Brooklyn, serving a predominantly African-American congregation. The membership has fluctuated between 10 at the inception to 1,180+ in 1992. Presently the membership stands at 700+.

Beulah is a missionary church in the heart of Crown Heights, Brooklyn, ministering to the total person. A church that is evangelistic, inclusive, compassionate and reproductive.

The Mission of Brown Memorial Baptist Church is to introduce the salvation of Jesus Christ to individuals by empowering them through dynamic worship, relevant Christian education, responsible stewardship, inclusive fellowship and impacting evangelism.

Established in 1847, this historical house of worship has a rich history of service. Founded by abolitionists, Concord served a safe haven for slaves escaping to the north. Years later they would help to organize what would later become the National Baptist Convention, Today their legacy to service continues as they work to not only spread the word of God but to also be a beacon of refuse, education and hope throughout their Marcy community.

Emmanuel Baptist Church is committed to connecting people to Christ. Founded in 1887, EBC (as it's called) now offers three different Sunday services, a Saturday evening service and a host of faith and community-based activities throughout the week.

First A.M.E. Church was established in the 1940's and for seventy years has worked to uphold not only their spiritual message but also the high denominational standards towards educational excellence.

First Church is an intentionally racially, culturally, and theologically diverse community energetically committed to serving God, families, workplaces, community and world.

The Hanson Place Church of Seventh-day Adventists strives to fulfill the great commission which encompasses preaching, teaching and caring for the physical, spiritual, social and emotional needs of its members and individuals within the Fort Greene area and wider community regardless of race, color, creed, age or nationality.


The Brooklyn Tabernacle was birthed out of a prayer meeting and has quickly grown from a small handful of members to a congregation of nearly 10,000 as the direct result of God's people faithfully continuing to pray and lift up the name of the Lord. The ministry of the Church has from the outset reached out to the cross-cultural melting pot.
