Carla's is a unique hybrid between a dress shop and trade school. But there's more to this Bed-Stuy staple then just taking sewing classes or buying a custom dress. Carla's is committed to the service of it's surrounding community - particularly lending a helping hand to victims of domestic violence and empowerment to all women.

This groundbreaking theatre is known by theatre connoisseurs and newbies alike as the place to obtain the purest form of theatre entertainment in one of the most enjoyable settings of Brooklyn.
The Noel Pointer Foundation (NPF) was founded in memory of celebrated jazz violinist, educator and humanitarian, Noel Pointer. Noel, a noted Grammy nominee, toured major concert venues both at home and abroad with critical acclaim, touching the lives and hearts of thousands. The Noel Pointer Foundation has been relentless in its pursuit of its mission to dramatically enrich children’s musical, cultural, and academic experiences by infusing children with a positive sense of who they are and a boundless sense of who they can become and what they can achieve.
Located in the Center for Arts & Culture's three-floor academy building, which spans over 13,000 square feet, YAA offers quality instruction to youth, ages 3 to 19 years old in dance, theater, and African drumming. Classes are offered after school and all day on Saturdays. In addition to onsite classes, YAA provides arts training and professional development workshops in theater, dance, creative writing, and music to over 1,200 students and teachers at Brooklyn-based public schools through its Arts In Action community outreach program.
